In Loving Memory of Michael F. Tischio
Michael F. Tischio, 87, of Whiting, New Jersey, passed away on September 7, 2026.
Born and raised in Newark, New Jersey, Michael was the son of Anthony and Angelina Tischio. He worked for 3M for 25 years before joining Cardolite Corporation, where he became vice president .
Michael proudly served in the United States Army as a medic from 1961 to 1967. His military service was an important part of his life and something he carried with great pride.
Michael was intelligent, curious, and full of stories. He spoke several languages, traveled extensively, and had an incredible memory. He loved cooking, gardening, dancing, singing, music, movies, books, skiing, golf, and collecting coins and stamps. His beloved cat, Angelica, held a special place in his heart.
A proud Leo, Michael loved the symbol of the lion. He was known for his unique sense of humor and one-of-a-kind personality.
Michael was predeceased by his grandson, Matthew James Ferrara; his sister, Marilyn Troiano; and his brothers, Joseph and Robert Tischio.
He is survived by his daughter, Shari Beth Tischio of Berlin Nj ; his grandchildren, Zackary and Jesse Ferrara of Shamong; and his brothers, Philip Tischio of Manasquan and Gerard Tischio of Brick.
Michael will be remembered as a loving Father, Poppop, and brother. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered. His stories, his wisdom, his laughter, and the special way he saw the world will live on in all of us who were blessed to know him.
